I MISSED THE TONY'S!!! WAAAAAH!

I can't believe I missed the Tony Awards last night!!!

 

I didn't even know it until I went to work today, and two of my coworkers said "Hey did you see the Tony's last night?". I couldn't believe it. The night that I have been waiting for. It's ok, because there are tons of clips on Youtube and I have already begun playing catch up.
So far I really like...

The Medly done by Andrew Rannell, Megan Hilty, and Laura Benanti (Best known for their theater roles in The Book Of Mormon, Gypsy, and Wicked)...


Of course the opening number which Neil Patrick Harris kills every year, and this year, he did not dissapoint...

The surprise appearance by Mike Tyson in the opening number...

The Matilda Medley. Even though I was ready to not like this number, I was very impressed and entertained my these children. I still don't want to see the show though.

I also love the fact that Zachary Quinto and Audra McDonald presented an award together

That Courtney B. Vance won Best Featured Actor

That Angela Basset was right there by her honey's side when he won.

I know that I am missing a lot of key elements, like the Barrage of Spider Men and the moment between Neil and Sandy and much more, but for tonight, this is my uninformed report of the Tony's.

Okay, that's enough of my blubbering about the Tony's. I didn't see much of it anyway. I can't even really name moments of the Tony's that I didn't like, except for the performance done by the cast of Annnie. I didn't dislike it, I just couldn't bare to watch it. After having been a part of the cast, I can't bare to hear anymore of the music.

Iron Man comic purists may not be too thrilled about the Mandarin in this movie, but I think the general crowd will be quite intrigued by him, as I was.

 

I do like the psychological bent that they used in this installment, and it's continuity to the Avengers.

There was more comedy in this one, and I usually hate when movies do that (Pirates of the Caribbean was almost a cartoon by Dead Man Chest. I couldn't bare to see the rest), but this movie pulled it off without being too cheesy.

 

Appreciation has been expressed toward Robert Downey Jr. getting more face time in movie. Some people enjoyed getting to know the character of Tony Starks a bit better, and other could do without it.

Okay, this concludes my vague review. What are your thoughts?

Intro - First Nerdy Post

Welcome to my page!

Thank you for visiting 'The Nerdy Black Girl Journal'. I am the nerdy black girl, and though there are probably no readers at all, I just feel the need to express myself. I am not a braniac, (though I would love to be) but I do consider myself to be a nerd, as does other people in my life. First on the agenda I will state what qualifies me to consider myself a nerd. Well:

 

#1) It is Saturday night, and the fun of my evening was fulfilled when I climbed into bed with a crossword puzzle and a Sudoku.

#2) Though I am a grown woman, I am a theater geek. If I were making a living of my theatrical exploits I would be considered an actual actor, however, at this point I am studying theater and doing as many plays as possible. I,e; Theater geek.

#3) I listen to talk radio

#4) I just recently found out who "Two Chains" is.

#5) I cannot twerk. I tried it my many times. It is a good work out, but it's really not working for me.

#6) I like superhero movies

#7) I am a Pixar aficionado

Anywho, Though I do not post my life on Facebook, I do feel the need to share parts of my life, like theater, church, recipes, Relationship issues, and occasionally...politics, and more. For the first post I would like to talk about Green Coffee Bean diet pills. I have been taking them and I would like to tell you what I think of them. I will discuss my results and the claims involved with these pills.
